i need help convincing my 12 year old friend to stop drinking and smoking?

Tell her if she doesn’t stop you wont be around. Unfortunately at that age people can be very stubborn. You have to be very clear that you don’t like it and you don’t want it around you. Hopefully she will see that the friendship is more important.
tell her thats she changing cus of it and nobody likes it and shes gonna lose all her friends
just telling her how you feel about this could help, just be straight forwards and let her know. if possible cut off her source and find out her reason for doing this try putting her into a situation where she is around a bunch of older kids that you can trust that just express how bad it is in a way that does not directly involve her one of them brings cigarettes into the situation and the rest (who need to do one damn good job of acting) need to gang up on her/him talk about how bad it is etc. just don’t give in. she, as you realize now, really can mess her life up badly.
